Virasana plays a very important role in removing our obesity. If your hips have grown too much, then you must practice Jaasana. (Yoga Mudrasana)
As you must be knowing, the word Veer has been used in the name of this asana. Which indicates that the person practicing this asana will be Shahasi or brave. In English this asana is known as (hero pose). This asana should be practiced mainly by those people who feel a lot of laziness.
Stand straight and (left leg) take the straight leg forward and take your right leg as far back as you can.
Keep in mind that both your thighs remain in a straight line.
Then move both your hands upwards. Slowly move your neck backward.
Now you have to stay in this posture for 20 to 30 seconds. In the beginning, there will be difficulty in balancing the body in the beginning, but gradually you will get so much skill in doing the asanas regularly.
Now stop in this posture, breathe slowly and release slowly. You can also increase the duration of doing this asana according to your physical ability. You slowly come back to your former state. Repeat the same action with the left hand and foot.
