Causes of skin tags:
Skin tags are caused by trapping of clusters of collagen and tiny blood vessels trapping in a small part of your skin.
Collagen is the main part of the connective tissue. It is a protein and is found in abundance in our bodies.
How to identify skin tags?
1. Do not confuse them with warts or moles.
Warts have irregular surface whereas skin tags are smooth and soft to touch.
Warts stick to the skin, but skin tags are more like hanging or protruding outwards.
Warts spread easily, they have outbreaks whereas skin tags do not.
Moles are usually made of a cluster of cells with color pigments. They are black or brownish in shade whereas skin tags are light pinkish, mostly the color of the skin.

3. People who are obese, have bad fats, have the tendency to develop skin tags in the fatty areas because the skin in that region folds very often.
