Interview with Aditi Kapoor : Founder of Travelogue Connect, a Travel & Lifestyle Blog

1. Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself and your Blog?

Hi All, I am Aditi and I run my travel blog by the name of Travelogue Connect which focuses on travel itineraries, travel guides, tips & tricks related to travel & packing, budget-adventure-culture travel, accommodation recommendations, offbeat places in India & abroad and more.

I launched it in September 2017 and it’s been a steep learning curve since then. Everything was new to me when I started my blog and there is something interesting to learn each day.

2. What did you do before Blogging? What inspired you to start blogging?

I am a Chartered Accountant by qualification and having worked in big corporate companies like PwC, Deloitte, Accenture etc. over the last 7 years, I wanted to give myself a break. I realized desk job is not for me and I am not happy working for someone else. It was the same mundane job daily which was not giving me satisfaction.

I developed a liking for travel when I shifted to Bangalore in 2009. Since then I have traveled to 20 Indian States, 4 Union Territories and 7 countries.

I was always good in research and planning trips. All my trips are self planned. Friends and family members look up to me for suggestions regarding their trips. This was enough inspiration for me to start a travel blog of my own and pursue my dream in a more organized manner.

3. As a blogger, what are the challenges you face? How you overcome it?

As I said before, I come from a non-technical background so everything was new to me. I created my blog from scratch with the help of online articles and videos related to blogging.

Understanding SEO and Google Analytics were some of the topics which baffled me at first as a blogger. But gradually I got a hang of it.

4. What would you consider to be your biggest achievement in your journey so far as a Blogger?

My readers like the content which I post and appreciate it whole-heartedly. It feels good. :)

5. Have you worked/collaborate with brands? If yes, name few brands you worked with

I have worked with few brands like Treebo Hotels, Smytten and Tesalate.

6. What is your primary income source?

To be honest, it is stock market. I have a keen interest in the same and as of now, it is my primary source of income.

7. Top 3 Blogging tools that you would recommend to your readers?

Google Analytics, Canva, Yoast by SEO

8. One piece of advice that you would like to share with all new bloggers?

Blogging is just like any other full time job. You have to be patient, determined and willing to give your 100% to it. If you feel it is a shortcut to success, fame, money and freebies, please don't enter the world of blogging.

Blogging is much more than writing quality content. You need to know how to promote your content. Lastly, regular reading is an important part of blogging to enhance your knowledge.

9. Finally, what are your thoughts about IndiBlogHub?

Skill Infinity is a great platform for bloggers to showcase their blogs. Kudos to Rahul Gupta for creating such a useful website within a short span of time. You are doing a great job. Keep it up.
