1. Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself and your Blog?
I am a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and an MBA in Human Resource.I was working with an Multi National Company when I got married and moved to Canada where my husband was working for a temporary period.Coming back to India I faced some personal and health issues after which I had to discontinue my profession.
I started the Blog as a hobby which later turned into my passion as I had a great passion for cooking and serving good food!I have never looked back after that!
2. What did you do before Blogging? What inspired you to start blogging?
I was a Corporate Trainer but some personal and health issues forced me to discontinue my profession. The Blog was started as an inspiration to give a posthumous tribute to my ancestors - the Grandmas (not to forget Grandpas as well) who were the wonderful cooks of my family who were silently appreciated for their talent but never publicly recognized. I thought to do this by dedicating the Blog to them!
3. As a blogger, what are the challenges you face? How you overcome it?
The biggest challenge I faced was proving myself in the midst of professional, veteran and wonderfully talented Bloggers! It took me some time - 4 years to be precise but yes it happened! I saw that dedication, commitment and honesty in your posts, content and innovation was seen, praised and finally given a nod by the blogger community!
Other challenges were publishing Blog posts, trying to click the best pics(yes it matters a great deal) and giving excellent write ups about recipes, their historical significance and more importantly your innovation in creating recipes that are in the "something new" category, healthy and look delicious! It all depends on practice, having an open mind while creating recipes and never to cry quits if a recipe does not succeed in the kitchen!
4. What would you consider to be your biggest achievement in your journey so far as a Blogger?
The biggest achievement of mine is the appreciation I get from people who have tried out my recipes!I occasionally get feedback's - some positive while yes there are negative ones in which people advise me to do something different!I get motivated by the negative feedback's and inspiration from the positive ones to better myself and come up with a wider variety of cuisines!
