1. Can you please tell us a little bit about yourself and your Blog?

Hi all, I am Shivi. A fashion enthusiast, stylist, writer, editor & founder of Bangalore is where I stay. Cosmochics is a fun project that was started few years back and it turned out as a life changing step for me.

Here I talk about wearable fashion and makeup and help women to understand the intricate details of both fashion and lifestyle to the comfort of their computer screen!

2. What did you do before Blogging? What inspired you to start blogging?

I am a Commerce graduate and had full time job. My blogging journey started with just a talk on what’s app group, with my friends, about starting a website where I can jot down our ideas about Fashion, beauty and lifestyle.

I finally put down my roots here 5 years back. Brands seeing the work started contacting "Cosmochics" for brand collaborations which included reviewing their products/services, experiential, outfit posts, new launches etc. Now sky is the limit! Brands are open for new ideas and they don’t step back from taking our advice into consideration.

3. As a blogger, what are the challenges you face? How you overcome it?

There are many to be honest. A common one is to constantly try and improvise your work, bringing in new ideas so that stories, posts and your work overall doesn’t look obsolete. We don’t want to be a pompous windbag and therefore, the information that we provide is real and adds great value. Choosing the correct brand and work is very important.

4. What would you consider to be your biggest achievement in your journey so far as a Blogger?

We love when brands come back and praise our work! This is great achievement as they are happy with what we provide them. They keep coming back because of the unique ideas that we provide different brands each time.

Also when our readers ask us and thank us for particular information that we provide them, makes us happy and all this is an accomplishment and cannot go unobserved.

5. Have you worked/collaborate with brands? If yes, name few brands you worked with

We have collaborated with Max, Nautica, Reliance Trends, L’Oréal , Maybelline, Colorbar, Sony, Oppo, Vivo, caratlane, Organic Harvest, food/beverage & spa giants, Online shopping websites and many more!

6. What is your primary income source?

For us it is our website, Facebook and Instagram! From Instagram’s live feature to stories and saving an idea in your gallery there is so much to explore!

Facebook’s reach is also more than what it was before and together, both Facebook and Instagram are easy to handle. Our next destination? YouTube...What else :)

7. Top 3 Blogging tools that you would recommend to your readers?

The Google Keyword Planner , Semrush for SEO, Yoast SEO Plug-in for WordPress website. Pinterest for photo ideas and flat lays.

8. One piece of advice that you would like to share with all new bloggers?

Just be yourself. Honest and genuine reviews will take you far. Appreciate work of your fellow bloggers and do not get into unnecessary negative debates.

Respecting others is must, and do not try and pull down people, even when they are not behaving with you properly. Ignoring such elements will take you to the correct path.

9. Finally, what are your thoughts about IndiBlogHub?

We love Skill infinity. It’s amazing to see how brands are collaborating with influencers. It’s a win-win situation for both of us. While we get a platform they get a voice! It’s more like relationship marketing! A term we learnt some time back!
