First of all you have to install and activate External Links plugin in your site. This plugin can set the rel="nofollow" attribute for all external links.

After installing the plugin, you will see a new option in the WordPress menu bar – External Links. All you have to do is click on it and do some basic settings.

Go to the External Links tab then select “each in a separate new window or tab” from the drop down menu of Open external links. After this, select nofollow from the drop down menu of Set follow or nofollow.

Apart from this, the plugin allows you to add Domains and Sub-Domains, whose links you do not want to Nofollow links. Under the Exceptions tab, write all those domains and sub-domains in the “Exclude external links by URL” box.

Now click on Save Changes button to store your settings. enough! The plugin will make all external links nofollow links.
