First, install and activate the Reading Time WP plugin in your WordPress site. Once the plugin is activated, it will automatically add reading time to the beginning of your post. To configure it, click on Settings >> Reading Time WP.

Here you can change the reading time and minutes text label that appears in your post. Apart from this, you can also edit the average reading speed. By default, the plugin comes with 300 words per minute reading speed.

If you don't want the reading time displayed automatically in the post, uncheck the Insert Reading Time before content and Insert Reading Time before excerpt options. To manually add the estimated reading time to your post, you can use its shortcode.

After completing all the settings, click on Update Options. Now you can visit your website to see Estimated Post Reading Time on your blog post.
