How to Noindex WordPress Categories and Tags?

If you want to noindex Categories and Tags with the help of Robots.txt file, then you have to add two lines in your Robots.txt file.

Here are the two lines that you have to paste in your Robots.txt file.

User-agent: *
Disallow: /tag/
Disallow: /category/

If you use the Genesis Framework, you can easily noindex the categories and tags archive using its SEO option.

Just you have to click on Appearance >> Customize then click on Theme SEO Settings >> Indexing and then tik mark All box empty box then click on Publish
