A multisite network in WordPress is a feature that allows users to create and manage multiple websites from a single installation of WordPress. Each website in the network is called a "site" and shares the same WordPress installation and database, but has its own unique URL and settings.

When you create a multisite network, you will have a "main site," also known as the "network admin," which is used to control and manage the network. From the network admin, you can create new sites, manage users, and control network-wide settings.

Each site in the network can have its own theme, plugin, and user settings. It also allows site administrators to manage their own site's content and settings, while network administrators can manage network-wide settings such as themes, plugins, and users.

Multisite networks are useful for organizations that want to create multiple sites with different purposes, such as different blogs, stores, or project sites, while centralizing management and maintenance.

It's important to note that creating a multisite network is a more advanced feature and it requires more resources and technical knowledge to set up and maintain. Also, it's not recommended for everyone, it's mostly useful for organizations that have a need for multiple sites and want to centralize management and maintenance.

WordPress Multi Sites – This is a function of WordPress that allows you to create a network of subsites within WordPress. Using this you can create multiple websites within the same domain and manage them from a single dashboard.

There are two types of WordPress multisites: sub-domain (EX: blog.wpfixerr.com) and sub-directory (EX: wpfixerr.com/blog)
