What is Google Analytics?

What is Google Analytics?

Google Analytics is a tool created by Google. With the help of this tool, you can find out which visitor came from where and for how long they have stayed on your website. You can also find out how many users are currently viewing your website near you in real time.

With the help of Google Analytics, you can find out how many users came to your different pages, how long they stayed, as well as track the conversion rate.

You also get to know that the people who came to your website came from where they came by searching a keyword from the search engine or came from social media or any referral website like Quora, Medium, Digg, etc. Or come to your website from any such website.

Google Analytics is an analytics tool by google used by various services to get stats for a website's views. For most of the users only tracking views, is what google analytics does.
But Google Analytics is more than that

1. It helps in providing stats on how much organic traffic you have, and also share with other services like Ahrefs.

2. Conversion and event tracking, for example, like you have an e-commerce site, with a view detail button. You can link this as event tracking, on how many users opened, and which product opened.

3. Conversion goals - you can set goals and compare for your e-commerce sites

4. Demographics - like location, search engines, pages, and titles

5. Insights - this is a very good feature that no one use, it is automated reporting letting you know, on different metrics for you to explore

There are alternatives to google analytics, but missing this can have issues. Third-party sites like ahref, SEMrush use google analytics to get traffic detail. So, if you do not use it, the traffic analysis may not be accurate.

Thanks

Google Analytics is a free service provided by Google that generates detailed statistics about visitors to a website. This product is aimed at buyers, as opposed to webmasters and technologists from whom the web analytics industry originated. It is the most widely used website statistics service worldwide.
