Golflounge is an excellent option when planning team-building events for a large group. In our naturally distinctive space, you can weave your love of golf with many exciting activities that promote team spirit and brotherhood. Here are five team-building activities for all to enjoy:

Icebreaker Games to Get Everyone Started

  • The Name Game

Start your Golflounge event with The Name Game. When people start to show up, gather them in a circle on the putting green. Each participant says their name and an unusual fact about themselves. For a twist, the next person needs to recite the previous person's name and fun fact, and then add their own. This fun and light game allows each and every one to break the ice and gives a friendly start to the day.

  • Two Truths and a Lie

It's a great way to get to know your coworkers and their quirky little facts. You utter two truths and one lie about yourself while having a go at mini-golf. The rest of the group then has to figure out which one is the lie. It is a laid-back and humorous way to get the conversation flowing.

  • Human Knot

Human Knot is a more interactive icebreaker on the driving range. Ask everyone to join in a circle and hold hands with the person opposite them. The purpose is to "untangle" the knot without letting go of hands. This exercise is a great icebreaker and encourages teamwork.

Creative Team Challenges

  • Build a Bridge

Considering its large surroundings at Golflounge, split your group into smaller teams, if possible. Have each team create a bridge using materials like golf clubs, tees, and foam balls. The challenge is to make the bridge strong enough to hold a small golf bag. This activity promotes creativity, and collaboration, and uses golf props.

  • Office Trivia

Play a round of Office Trivia in our lounge area. Write trivia questions about your company, industry, or even team members. Break people into teams and let them compete for the highest score. Itโ€™s a fun way to reinforce company culture and learn new things in a relaxed setting.

  • Art Collaboration

Set up canvases and art supplies in one of our private event spaces and have each team work together to create a piece of art. Have them design a golf theme or let them be completely creative. This activity fosters teamwork and allows everyoneโ€™s artistic side to shine.

Outdoor Team Building Activities

  • Scavenger Hunt

Put together a scavenger hunt through keywords at Golflounge. Create a list of golf-related items or challenges for teams to find or complete. This encourages problem-solving and gets everyone moving and exploring our beautiful venue.

  • Field Day Games

Bring back the fun of Field Day Games on our playground and recreational field. Organize fun games like sack races, tug of war, relay races, and more. Itโ€™s perfect to get everyone outside, active, and having a blast in a casual, friendly competition.

  • Obstacle Course Challenge

Create a golf-themed obstacle course that teams have to navigate. Include challenges like hitting targets, putting through tricky terrain, or chipping balls into buckets. This activity builds physical and mental stamina and fosters teamwork.

Problem-Solving Exercises

  • Escape Room Scenarios

Bring the thrill of escape rooms to Golflounge. You can create a series of puzzles and clues to be placed around our event spaces, then have teams play together to solve them and escape within a time limit. Itโ€™s a fun and engaging activity that requires critical thinking and teamwork.

  • The Marshmallow Challenge

Preparation work: You can have spaghetti, tape, string, and one marshmallow ready for each team. The challenge is to create the tallest structure that can hold a marshmallow on top. This fun, interactive activity promotes creative thinking and teamwork.

  • Code Breaking

Set up encrypted codes and meticulous puzzles on a macro level that teams must solve in our indoor lounge area. This might include simple ciphers to solve riddles or even crack a cold case for an ARG. Itโ€™s an exercise that encourages problem-solving skills and makes teams work together closely.

Trust-Building Activities

  • Blindfolded Trust Walk

Select one team member to be blindfolded and pair them with another teammate. The other person will guide their blindfolded partner through an easy obstacle course on the driving range using only their voice. This activity helps develop trust and communication in a safe and enjoyable environment.

  • Minefield Navigation

Create an object-filled โ€œminefieldโ€ on the putting green. Team members must navigate through the field while blindfolded, guided by their teammates. This activity builds confidence and articulates communication.

  • Trust Fall Circle

Gather your staff on the grass in a circle and let everyone fall backward into the group of employees. This trust-building exercise is a classic and reminds the team of the importance of mutual support and trust.

These are activities designed to engage large groups and promote team bonding in the unique setting of Golflounge. you can create a dynamic and enjoyable team event that improves relationships and teamwork by combining a series of icebreakers, creative challenges, outdoor games, problem-solving exercises, and trust-building games.
