Teaching medical assistants is targeted at ensuring their ultimate degree is equal to that of shared undergraduates. The professional application in this role, however, and the subsequent training is not equivalent. This shortcoming of teaching professors is visible in colleges of health personnel. Improperly skilled health assistants sometimes perform a smaller number of tasks, or carry them out with performance errors. These people provide customers with a higher level of performance when they have a high level of training and expertise. The goal of all colleges of health practitioners is to ensure that at each step, qualified, effective, and professional healthcare practitioners obtain instruction. Colleges of health practitioners provide support and approaches for teaching proper healthcare professionals and assistants in order for customers to obtain the highest possible standard of healthcare. All students in Zambia attend college from their senior year, so the graduates are 18-19 years old.
Medical education and medical professionals are both seen as foundations for any country's healthcare system. The most important element in the establishment of the most appropriate healthcare system is the reform and development of medical education to produce successful healthcare workers. This study looks at the top medical schools in Zambia and assesses which are the best to attend, specifically in the medical field. As a result, the following results were used to evaluate the medical colleges in Zambia based on the best of all their targeted criteria. Quality employed in this location is centered on different education policy variables, as well as other extra learning aspects. The option adopted in an education institute is the most important measurable aspect that represents quality. This could be the product of skilled proficiency and instruction. Healthcare assistants have been called 'doctors without diplomas.' They operate within a hospital, treating ill persons in the same way as certified physicians, but they are reluctant to carry out tasks that require technical training.
1.1. Background of Medical Education in Zambia
The government has offered scholarships to about 50 students each year, while those that would self-sponsor have been very few. Each year, the school of medicine that has had the majority of all applicants not less than 90% has mainly been the University of Zambia. The school of medicine only offers limited programs, with Dentistry being the only program other than the standard medicine and pharmacy programs. Since this university has been more established, they have more qualified lecturing staff, which have contributed to the high pass rates over the years. This, however, places the University of Zambia at an advantage when it comes to student applicants. In recent years, the number of accepted students is more than the intake of the previous average 50 students, which has prompted the government to allocate a limited number of funds to the student medical program.
A medical school is a tertiary educational institution teaching medicine resulting in a professional degree of Doctor of Medicine, which upon fulfilling credentialing requirements, will enable the medical graduate to become a physician. In Zambia, medical undergraduate training at the University of Zambia School of Medicine has been in existence since 1966. Since it was established, various universities have tried to establish a medical school; however, it took quite a while for other medical schools to be realized. The School of Medicine at Cavendish University opened its gates to students in 2004. The Copperbelt University opened its medical school in 2011, and Levy Mwanawasa Medical University opened with its first set of students in 2019. This study will focus only on the three current medical schools in Zambia. The aim of this paper is to describe and analyze the top medical universities in Zambia.
