     Syllabus Oriented Approach of teaching

Structure A. Models of the particulate nature of matter:

This topic is divided into five sub topics. In this section students understand about nature of matter. There are five sub topics Introduction to the particulate nature of matter, The nuclear Atom, Electron configurations, Counting particles by mass: The mole and Ideal gases. SL students study this topic in 17 teaching hours and HL students study it in 21 teaching hours. Our tutors show videos and use graphs to clear the concepts.

  Structure B. Models of bonding and structure: Our Chemistry tutors start teaching this topic with the description of the kinds of different bonding and structures. Students feel very happy and they start to draw the correct dots to represent in diagrams. This topic has four sub topics. SL students study this topic in 20 teaching hours and HL students get 30 teaching hours.

Structure C. Classification of matter : This section is divided in two parts. The periodic table: Classification of elements and Functional groups: Classification of organic. Exam Pattern : There are two types of assessment in IBDP.

• Internal Assessment: 20% weightage

• External Assessment: 80% weightage
