This temple survived the 2013 flood by a big unknown rock which nobody knows where it came from and it is said to be the power of God.

According to legends it is said that this temple was dedicated because, when Lord Vishnu started to meditate here then Goddess Laxmi turned herself in the Badri tree to protect them from the light of the sun. There is a golden canopy statue of lord vishnu in meditative pose.
