How to apply for Tripura NEET Counselling 2025

The Tripura NEET 2025 counselling process will be conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tripura, from July 30, 2025, 10 AM onwards, with the registration process. The last date of registration is August 3, 2025, 10 PM. The choice filling process will be conducted from July 31, 2025, 5 PM to August 4, 2025, 5 PM. The merit list will be released on August 4, 2025. The seat allotment result will be declared on August 6, 2025.

DME Tripura has announced the launch of a separate and exclusive website for Tripura NEET counselling, which is trmcc.admissions.nic.in. The seat matrix has been released, consisting of 381 seats in MBBS, 57 in BDS, 4 in BHMS and one each in BAMS and BASLP courses.

The NEET counselling in Tripura 2025 is the gateway to admission for MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS and BASLP courses under the 85 per cent State Quota seats for the academic year 2025-26. DME Tripura has released the Tripura NEET 2025 provisional merit list, or the list of qualifying candidates, which includes 2,265 candidates.

 Tripura NEET UG 2025 counselling will be conducted in online mode. There will be around five to six steps, such as the declaration of merit list, seat matrix, registration, participation in counselling and declaration of seat-allotment result, followed by institute reporting and document verification. The number of rounds will depend on the seat vacancies.

The NEET 2025 exam was conducted on May 4, 2025. The NEET 2025 result was declared on June 14, 2025, along with the NEET 2025 cutoff. Out of 22,09,318 candidates who appeared for the exam, 12,36,531 candidates qualified. The number of candidates appearing and qualifying from Tripura is 4,792 and 2,265, respectively.

Tripura NEET Counselling 2025: Eligibility

To participate in the counselling of Tripura NEET 2025, a candidate must satisfy the following criteria:

The candidate must have qualified for NEET 2025

They must be a permanent resident of the state

The candidate or his/her parent should have resided in the state of Tripura for a period of at least 10 years prior to the date of release of the application form

Children of All India Service officers born in the Tripura cadre or employees of the Tripura state government posted out of the state can also apply for Tripura MBBS counselling

Candidates who have completed class 12 from an institute in Tripura and their parents are currently working with the Tripura/Central Government are also eligible

Children of ex-servicemen/defence personnel who have resided in the state of Tripura for at least 5 years prior to the date of release of the application form can also apply for the counselling of Tripura NEET.

Tripura NEET counselling 2025 process will involve various steps such as registration, submission of application fee and verification. Below are the steps involved in the Tripura NEET counselling 2025:

Step 1: State Merit List

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tripura, prepares a merit list of the registered candidates for each round. The basis for the preparation of the state merit list will be the NEET 2025 All India Ranks of the registered candidates.

Step 2: Registration

To participate in the counselling of Tripura NEET 2025, candidates have to register on the official website of DME Tripura. Candidates who fail to register are not considered for the Tripura NEET 2025 counselling process.

Step 3: Application fee

It is mandatory to pay the application fee for participating in the counselling of Tripura NEET 2025. The application fee has to be paid offline through a Demand Draft in favour of the ‘Director of Medical Education, Government of Tripura’, payable at Agartala.

The mandatory security deposit has to be paid through a Demand Draft or a bank deposit. The DD has to be made in favour of the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Tripura from any nationalised bank, preferably the State Bank of India. The DD or the bank receipt has to be submitted to the office of the Director of Medical Education, Birdurkarta Chowmohani, Agartala.

Step 4: Choice Filling and Locking

Based on the seat matrix, candidates have to fill and lock choices for each round, based on which seats will be allotted. Candidates have to follow the steps given below to fill and lock choices for the Tripura NEET 2025 counselling.

Step 5: Seat allocation list

The Tripura NEET 2025 seat allocation list is uploaded on the official website of DME Tripura. The seat allocation list of Tripura NEET 2025 is prepared based on the state merit list, the number of seats available and the choices filled by the candidates.

Step 6: Reporting to the institute

Candidates who have been allocated a seat have to report to the respective institute for confirmation of their admission. They also need to deposit the tuition fee for the first year of the course.

Step 4: Verification of documents

The next step will be the verification of the documents and checking the eligibility of the candidate. Candidates have to report for document verification, both original and self-attested photocopies, to the verification centre.

Candidates must note that there is no reservation for candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category in Tripura NEET counselling 2025. Thus, an OBC category candidate will be treated as a general category candidate during the counselling of Tripura NEET 2025.
