1. Take out few minutes from your day

As a beginner, it is recommended to practice for at least 5 minutes a day. This way you can make meditation your habit and feel calm and refreshed within yourself.

2. Choose a particular time to meditate

Try to pick a particular time from your daily routine, in the morning just after you wake up or in the night before sleeping. This is how it can become your daily habit and you can practice it regularly.

3. Choose a peaceful space to practice

It totally depends on which spot you choose to practice, you can do it in an open space, or in your room. All you need to prioritize is finding a quiet space where you won’t get distracted and keep your focus on meditating.

4. Keep your focus on breathing

Follow your breathing pattern when you inhale through your nostrils and notice how your belly feels as it rises and falls. During this if you feel your mind getting distracted just observe the reason behind your distraction and gently bring back your focus into the present moment.

5. Start with Guided Meditation

You can start with guided meditation for beginners where an instructor can guide you and help you to focus better. With various effective techniques like mindfulness, deep breathing, visualizations and many more.
