Discovered by Lord Curzon, the then Viceroy of India, in the year 1905, it has become one of the most popular treks in India, especially because it is accessible by tourists during winter as well.

When you are in Uttarakhand, you must visit the famous hill station of Dehradun not only because of its popularity but also because it is the arrival point for almost all the trekking locations in the state.

On the third day, make a move from the Guling top towards the Tali top via Khulara and you will have to cross a dense alpine woodland. As you navigate your way on the forest ground, soak in the tranquility of woods, occasionally breached by the chirping sound of the Himalayan birds.
The Hathi Ghodi peak is visible from here and you must capture it for your travel diaries. On D-day, you will have to trek for about 2 hours and then take a moment to breathe at Jhandi Dhar before you walk for another 40 minutes to reach Kuari Pass.
The picturesque visuals in front of you will simply take your breath away. Some of the most famous and high-altitude peaks of the Garhwal Ranges stand tall in front of you such as Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Nanda Devi, Hathi Parbat, and many others.
Once you've savored the majestic views, descend from the Pass towards Tali. On the last day, you must visit the Auli Skiing Resort, the Tali Lake gleaming under the bright sunshine, and the lush Gorsan Bugyal as you make your way back to Dehradun.
There are plenty of avenues for adventure enthusiasts to make the most out of their visit here such as river rafting and bungee jumping in Rishikesh and nature lovers are able to see the beauty of the region from the ropeways.
Other than that the Auli meadows, when covered with snow, are the perfect location for skiing in the snow, an experience you cannot get easily in India.
You could visit the religious sites in Haridwar such as Har ki Pauri Ghat and you should not miss out on the evening prayer segment. You could also visit the Nanda Devi National Park, another UNESCO World Heritage Site if you have some time to spare.
