Once you’ve submitted your UK visa application, it’s natural to want to track its progress. Knowing how to check the status of your visa application can save you time and anxiety. If you’ve applied for a UK visa, you can easily track the status of your application through the VFS Global website.
1. Visit the VFS Website
Go to the official VFS Global website.
2. Select the Country You Are Applying From
Choose the country from which you submitted your application.
3. Select the Country You Are Applying For
Next, select the country for which you are applying (in this case, the UK).
4. Click on 'Track Your Application'
Find and click on the “Track Your Application” option.
5. Click on 'Click Here'
A new page will appear; click on the “Click Here” button to proceed.
6. Enter Your Details
You’ll be prompted to enter your Global Web Form number (GWF No.) and the email address you used when submitting your visa application.
Once you’ve entered these details, you’ll be able to see the status of your visa application. The possible statuses include:
• On Hold
• In Process
• Approved (You’ll receive an email notification)
• Refused (You’ll receive an email notification)
You can go for any one of these 04 options!*: 1) Administrative Review 2) Appeal to First Tier Tribunal 3) Judicial Review OR 4) Re apply UK visa
After your biometric appointment, you can opt for SMS updates. This service sends instant updates on your visa application status directly to your mobile phone. The SMS service will keep you informed about key stages of your application, and when your passport is collected by the Bluedart agents and then dispatched.
Please note: The final decision regarding your visa application, whether approved or refused, will be communicated via email.
After your visa decision has been made, your passport will be sent back to you. You can track its delivery status using BlueDart, the courier service.
1. Once your visa is approved/refused and your passport is dispatched, you will receive a notification along with a BlueDart tracking number.
2. Go to the BlueDart website and enter your GWF number to track the status of your passport’s delivery.
The process is similar to the VFS tracking method: you simply need your GWF number, and you can monitor the progress of your passport delivery until it reaches your doorstep.
By following these steps, you can easily stay updated on your UK visa application and passport delivery status.
Be sure to use the exact GWF number, as any errors could delay the process.
The status on the portal will be updated regularly, so you can check it as many times as you need.
