In seo, we do have links everywhere, one link pointing to other and so on. So, let say we written an article and added link to some other resource or someone linked to our article. In any case, the linked content gets removed/deleted. So, we get a 404 error, or sometimes a redirect showing content moved.
So, in this case, the link lost its value, as there is nothing to be linked. It breaks the link chain. So the links with 404 mostly are termed as broken links. Identifying broken links and fixing can help you in improving SEO.

A broken link is one that cannot be opened and is not located on any website, resulting in a 502 or 404 error.

There are two kinds of errors:

a) A 502 error indicates a problem with the website server.

b) A 404 error means that the page was not found on the website.

When you delete any page on your blog but its link is available anywhere, then it is called Broken link that means a link that shows error or does not exist on your blog, then it is called Broken link. is called.

Sometimes you must have seen that after opening the post of a blog, it shows the message of 404 error not found or Page Not Found, that is Broken link.

This link affects the visitors of your blog as well as the search engine, due to which your blog is put in the category of very low level website by the search engine and your blog post also stops showing from Google search engine.

When any visitor opens any of your post and if he does not show that post that means page not found message shows then that user gets frustrated and closes your blog and then he will never visit your blog wants to come So always keep the broken link fixed.

Broken Links are actually links that are present on any page of your blog. But when someone clicks on that link, it shows the error of “Error 404” or “Page Not Found”. If this happens then it is a very bad thing for your SEO.

When this happens, not only does the visitor who comes to your blog get angry, but the search engines also have trouble with it. As long as there are 2-3 Broken Links on your blog, then Google does not take a big step.

But if there are too many Broken Links on your blog and you are not taking any steps to fix them, then Google will definitely down your ranking. Such links on which click on any related page does not open and error shows are called Broken Links.
