Are you unable to connect your satellite with Orbi router? Don’t worry, we are here to help. Follow the easy steps given below to sync your satellite to the router.
Now you can connect your devices with the Orbi’s extended network.
But, if you are still facing any errors like Orbi satellite not connecting to the router, look out for the solutions given below:
Make sure that your satellite is not too far from the router. The major distance between the satellite and router should be around 20-40 Ft.
Be aware of devices like microwave ovens and cordless phones, which generate electromagnetic waves. These devices interrupt WiFi signals. If you suspect interference, test your WiFi connection in different locations within your home, away from these devices.
Ensure your Orbi router and satellites are receiving power. Also make sure, the power cords you’re using are free from any cuts or damage.
If orbi satellite is not connecting, ensure that the modem is properly connected to the router. Link the router and modem via ethernet cable and the cable should be in proper condition.
If satellite’s physical sync button fails to operate, the alternative method for connecting the satellite to the router is through Orbi router’s web interface.
If your orbi satellite is connecting to the router, but Orbi app fails to detect the connection, reboot the router and satellite both.
If your satellite is connected to the router via sync button but is providing no internet connection, ensure the modem is properly connected to the router and there are no issues at your service provider’s end.
If still your Orbi satellite not connecting to router, then reset it.There is a Rest pinhole button at the back of the satellite. Press it with pin or pen. To reset, follow these steps:
Long press the Reset button for around 10 seconds.
Wait for a few minutes and later re-connect the satellites.

To power cycle the Orbi router and satellites, disconnect all cables from the Orbi device ports for around 10-15 minutes. After some time, reconnect all cables and start the Orbi network again.
