Developed over years of practical tritium handling, we provide you with tailored tools for the special tasks at hand. Founded in 2014 by a team of tritium specialists, smolsys ltd. focuses on the laser processing of glass for the encapsulation of gases and/or technical microsystems, especially Gaseous Tritium Light Sources manufacturing.

A new, flexible and very safe way to set up such a production for tritium was found in the form of a modular “Plug & produce” pop-up production cell. Since it was proven to be optimal for tritium and high-compliant work, it became smolsys’ “trademark” and is already in use with customers working with tritium.

Since 2016, smolsys has also invested in the ultra-short pulse laser processing of glass for the manufacturing of sandwich structures in the medical market. These applications are overseen by our special wafer glass team.

Today, we offer tritium process engineering, the automation of tritium processing, and glass micro systems manufacturing. The manufacturing of complex parts and machines is certainly something we love.
