Speciality Valve is a renowned Cryogenic Check Valve Manufacturers in India, with high quality valve designed for efficient and safe control of flow in extremely low temperatures. Our cryogenic check valve are constructed to manage liquefied gas and cryogenic liquid with highest dependability and durability.
A cryogenic check valve is a check valve designed to operate in cryogenic service involving liquefied gases such as LNG, liquid oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen, and helium. It provides unidirectional flow while automatically preventing backflow to safeguard pipeline and equipment in cryogenic systems operating at temperatures of up to -196°C.
Cryogenic check Valve Vs Cryogenic Ball Valve
Cryogenic check valves and cryogenic ball valves are both tailored for low-temperature environments, but they each have their own unique roles. A cryogenic check valve is designed to allow flow in one direction while automatically blocking any backflow. This makes it perfect for systems that need to safeguard against reverse flow in pipelines transporting liquefied gases like LNG or oxygen. On the other hand, a cryogenic ball valve provides precise control over flow, whether manually or automatically, thanks to its quarter-turn mechanism and spherical closure. It's the go-to choice when you need complete shutoff or throttling. While check valves work passively based on pressure, ball valves need to be actuated. Both types are constructed with extended bonnets and materials that can handle cryogenic temperatures, but the choice between them really hinges on the specific control and safety requirements of your system.

Working Mechanism
The cryogenic check valve is pressure-differential-operated automatically. When upstream pressure is greater than downstream pressure, the disc opens to permit flow. Upon reverse flow or pressure loss, the disc resets automatically to the seat, inhibiting backflow. The longer bonnet keeps the valve in working condition even under very cold operating conditions by minimizing frost and thermal stress on the moving components.
