What is My Computer icon in computer

My Computer Icon is given in the top left on the Desktop, when you click on it, then Windows Explorer opens in which all the resources related to the computer like Partition of Hard Disk Drive, My Document, Music Folder, Picture Folder Apart from Network Drive , Share Folder appear

Along with this, if you have connected a USB Drive to the computer, have connected a CD or DVD Rom, then you also see it there.
