The launch of the Intel Pentium microprocessor in 1993 enabled computer systems to perform two tasks simultaneously, with the ability to perform tasks that required more processing.
Intel then gradually went on to develop the Pentium 2, Celeron, Pentium 3 and Pentium 4, Dual Core, Core2 Duo, Core2 Quad, Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors for various purposes.
