Process Management: A process is a program that is executed by the processor (CPU) in the computer. The operating system handles the creation and deletion of processes and also manages the scheduling and synchronization of a process. Process management is an important part of an operating system that enables the activities of planning, controlling and performing a process.

Memory Management: The memory management of the operating system takes care of the allocation and de-allocation of the main memory for various processes. The primary is to manage memory, share, and have the least memory access time. It also keeps track of memory usage and does memory management for overall system performance.

File Management: The file management module of the operating system transfers files with different storage devices. File management includes creating and deleting both files and directories, allocating space for files, keeping backups, securing and easy access to files.
