This error usually occurs when the WordPress core update is running in the background and when the user tries to perform a second update.

During a Core update, WordPress automatically sets the core_update.lock option in your WordPress database. Which stops the process of updating your site simultaneously. And when trying to do two updates simultaneously, then “Another Update in Process” error appears.
