In 1992, IBM introduced the first TrackPoint mouse to be used with portable computers. Sometimes, it is called an eraser pointer, because it resembles the eraser head of a pencil. It's located in the middle of the keyboard between "G," "H," and "B." It is also known as pointing stick, style pointer and nub.
