The control panel is a set of programs. Which is used for setting hardware, font setting, system and security setting, network and internet setting, user account setting.

This is an option provided in Microsoft Windows, in which all the methods of controlling software or system are present. With the help of the function of Control Panel, you can set and change the setting of the window.

Control Panel is a component of Microsoft Windows that allows us to view and change computer system settings. It contains a complete set of applets that can add or remove hardware and software, control user accounts, as well as access networking settings.

Features of Control Panel:

  • System and Security – You go to this section to check your computer's Status, Backup and Restore, and more.
  • Network and Internet – Use this section to view network status.
  • Hardware and Sound – See what devices are on your computer and which devices are paired.
  • Programs – Use this section to check which applications are installed on your computer.
  • User Accounts – In this section you can create a new user account or change the existing one.
  • Appearance and Personalization – Use this section to change desktop options like font and screen reader.

The Control panel is the important and most used part of the system which helps to manage the system. We can set the system according to our requirements and the way to manage the system.
There are so many options in the control panel to set the different settings of the system such as default programs, network settings, change and uninstall programs or applications, Windows update, firewall, folder options, etc.

We can get more options used in the control panel to make the system flexible and easy to use.
  • Action Center,  Administrative Tools,  Adove Gamma,  AutoPlay,  BitLocker Drive Encryption, Color Management,  Credential Manager,  Date and Time,  Default Programs,  Device Manager, Devices and Printers,  Display,  Ease of Access center,  Family safety,  File History.
  • Flash Player(32 bit),  Folder options,  Fonts,  HomeGroup,  Indexing Options,  Intel(R) HD Graphics, Internet Options,   Keyboard,  Language,  Location Settings,  Mail (32-bit)
  • Mouse, Network and Sharing Center,   Notification Area Icons,   Personalization,    Phone, and Modem, Power Options,  Mail (32-bit),   Programs and Features,   Recovery.
