The network we use every day started many years ago in the 1960s to the 1970s. The name of that network was ARPANET which we know as Advance Research Project Agency Network, initially the purpose of that network was to connect terminal and remote job entry station with mainframe. But at that time ARPANET was a fundamental factor in establishing the concept of resource sharing. ARPANET was quite reliable as it used packet switching technology instead of circuit switching.
