What is the history of Tally

Accounting has been done from the beginning, but earlier this work was done by hand on paper. Today Tally is being used everywhere to do this task. Tally software was invented in the year 1986 by Shyam Sunder Goenka, the father of Tally.

Earlier they used to supply raw material to the textile mill. At that time there was no software available to keep accounts, due to which they used to face a lot of trouble in their business. Then he along with his son Bharat Goenka created MS-DOS software. Later its name was changed to Tally.

Tally is developed by a company named Tally Solutions.
