First, install and activate the Safe SVG plugin on your WordPress site.
After activating the plugin there is no setting to configure in it. Just start uploading SVG files.
It also has a premium version, which allows certain users to be restricted from uploading SVGs. Apart from this, it also provides some additional SVG optimization.
Alternatively you can use the SVG Support plugin which comes with advanced features.
